Tower and air traffic services and ADS-B Monitoring
The tower is manned by professional Flight Information Service Officers who provide a Danger Area Activity Information service when operating as segregated airspace and an Air Traffic Zone service during shared airspace periods
The tower is also available as Ground Control Station site if required
ADS-B tracking is available using the tower’s dedicated uAvionics Ping station capability.
Tracking
The ability to track airborne objects with high precision using the Specialised Imaging Lightweight Optical Motion Analysis System (LOMA)
Range of optical and infra-red cameras including high-speed imaging capability
Controlled ground area within the airport perimeter with Rescue and Fire Fighting services on-site
The entire ‘airside’ of the aerodrome is available as a controlled ground area particularly well suited to the testing and demonstration of aircraft and equipment
A dedicated RFFS station on the aerodrome is available as a backup in case of emergencies
A range of ‘off-aerodrome’ landing sites in controlled areas
To facilitate operations such as drone delivery trials, a selection of ‘off-aerodrome’ sites within the segregated airspace area is available. All have the necessary landowner permissions already in place and have been selected to allow for a range of mission distances and terrain types.
3 Runways
Goodwood has three grass runways ensuring a wide range of options according to daily conditions.
The main runway is 1295m long and the aerodrome is an overall grass surface
Secure Hangar Space
Part or full hangar space is available for both short or long term projects
Offices, meeting rooms and internet
A range of office space and meeting rooms are available including facilities in the recently completed aerodrome terminal
Corporate Events
Goodwood is renowned for hosting both corporate events and large scale public festivals. Access to the new terminal building and catering facilities is just one of a wide range of options
